OUR HISTORY
Christian Life Academy is a ministry of Christian Life Church. Our goal is to minister to other families and people in our communities. In following Phillipians 2:3, our motto here is, “It’s NOT all about us!” Christian Life Academy is ready and fully equiped to support and encourage home school families. With academic goals geared for each individual child, and strong Godly values, CLA hopes to help our families raise up children to become a shining light for Christ to those around them. We welcome all families with similar beliefs and ideals.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
"...I will personally instruct them. Then they will learn to fear me as long as they live, and they will teach their children to fear me also." -- Deuteronomy 4:10
We exist to provide Christian families with assistance and support to educate their children at home. We are not against the public school system. However, the same shoe does not fit everyone the same. We are not against the government. We strictly adhere to state mandated quidelines in operating our school. We are proud to be a part of a country which allows us not only the right to worship our God freely and publicly; but the right to teach our children how and what we feel is best for them.
OPERATIONS
** All families must attend a pre-orientation meeting with CLA administrator to determine if schooling together would be in the best interest of all involved. The children are then screened to determine where they are academically in each area of study.
** CLA families are required to keep track of student’s progress in the form of grades, attendance, and writing samples. These must be submitted at the end of each semester.
** We will have quarterly fellowship meetings to encourage one another. They are not mandatory; however, I feel you will find them to be a blessing. Especially after having a long hard week of wanting to pull your hair out (which is perfectly normal).
** We also offer field trips each month of the school year. These are a family affair. All family members may attend and pay the fees. Since you are the teacher, parent attendance is required. We have t-shirts for the children that will be required to be worn on school outings.
** We organize quarterly outreaches within the community. We use this opportunity to become Christ's hands and feet to those around us. It allows the students to show God's love through them.
